Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) is a faith-based group that seeks participants who are interested in human rights work, committed to nonviolence, and willing to participate in team worship and reflection. Participants should plan to share about the trip with their home communities and congregations.

This continuing education opportunity for United Church of Canada ministry personnel will centre on a journey to United Church partner Latin American Biblical University. Staff will help participants engage issues of eco-justice so they can integrate this learning into congregational life.
Participants will be challenged to write sermons, design study processes, and create liturgy that will deepen the congregation’s understanding of and commitment to ecological justice in home, community, Canada, and globally. It will use the current mission theme: Challenging Empire: A Call to Community. The group will be led by Justice, Global and Ecumenical Relations Unit staff person Rivkah Unland and is open to 15 participants.
